KM106: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Leeds

Salary: GBP27,000 - GBP29,000 Per Annum

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on all kinds of kit
Make sure jobs are done right and on time
Keep in regular contact with your managers (Works Supervisor and Director of Works)
Help with delivery or pick-up of parts and equipment when needed
Follow all company health & safety rules and risk assessments
Take part in training, toolbox talks, and other team events
Be flexible we sometimes need to adapt depending on work
Pitch in with other tasks, in line with the role, if required
Skills and Qualifications
Must-Haves:

  • Engineering background or qualifications
  • Good with tools and confident working on diesel/petrol engines, electrics, trailers, etc.
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Able to manage your own time and stay calm under pressure
  • Comfortable talking with managers, co-workers, and customers
  • Physically fit this is a hands-on role that involves lifting and moving equipment

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in portable accommodation/toilet hire
  • General handyman skills like plumbing, basic electrics, painting or joinery
