Job description

Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with the drive to succeed in a major steel processing company based in Dudley? If yes, we want to hear from you!

Annual Salary: £42,000 to £48,000 with plenty of overtime available

Weekly Shifts: 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday

The role:

You will be part of a 3-man team working on days, alongside an Electrician and a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. Your responsibilities include carrying out preventative maintenance, responding to plant breakdowns, and performing repairs. All tasks must be completed safely and professionally, with reporting to supervisors and maintaining shift reports and paperwork.

General Scope of Work:

• Work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Read engineering drawings
• Responsible for PPM
• Perform welding and fabrication
• Operate oxygen/acetylene torches
• Bench fitting
• Operate forklift, cherry picker, and overhead cranes

Experience/Qualifications Required:

• Completed apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance
