Overview

Maintenance Engineer – Dudley

£40,000 - £45,000 DOE

Monday – Friday double days 6am-2pm / 10pm-2pm

Company: This FMCG manufacturing site is undergoing growth due to investment in brand new lines. The environment is automated and clean, with strong leadership. The role focuses on maintenance of conveyors, flow wrappers, multi-head weighers, coders, pallet wrappers, and more. Most work is preventative maintenance (PPM) with some reactive maintenance and significant project activity. This is a smaller site where you will engage in project work/PPMs when not responding to breakdowns.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out PPM on automated manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Respond to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance as needed.
  • Participate in project work and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support maintenance on conveyors, flow wrappers, multi‑head weighers, coders, pallet wrappers, and related equipment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years’ experience repairing and maintaining special purpose plant machinery; electrical skills are essential.
  • Ability to read schematic drawings/electrical wiring diagrams, change sensors, and perform fault finding.
  • Mechanically sound with experience in bearings, belts, belts, and general mechanical maintenance.
  • PLC experience is not required for this role.
  • Open to Maintenance Engineers from manufacturing backgrounds (FMCG/Food/Metals/Recycling/Automation/Foundry/Brick/Aerospace).
