Job description

Maintenance Engineer

Location: Hull

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm

The Company

Were recruiting on behalf of a well-established and long-standing client based in Hull. This business operates in a specialist heavy processing sector and is known for its strong team culture, robust equipment, and a varied working environment.

The Role

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, youll be working closely with a small, close-knit team of engineers to maintain and repair a wide range of heavy-duty processing machinery. The work is predominantly reactive maintenance, with some planned preventative tasks.

Youll be working on equipment such as blowers, Vacuum equipment, mixers, and elevators. Typical issues will include fault finding on motors, wiring problems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and general mechanical breakdowns. The business values engineers who can think on their feet, stay calm under pressure, and enjoy getting involved in whatever needs doing.

There may be occasional call-out requirements, so a degree of flexibility is important.

  • Proven Experience in a heavy industrial or factory maintenance environment is highly beneficial
  • A get-stuck-in attitude willing to roll your sleeves up and help out wherever needed
  • Flexible, reliable, and comfortable working as part of a small team
  • Willingness to support occasional call-out work when required
