Overview

Maintenance Engineer — Salary: £45,000 + benefits | Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm | 45 hours/week

Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing production facility with real career progression potential.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be working in a multi-skilled role with a 70/30 mechanical to electrical bias (or vice versa, depending on your strength). You'll be responsible for both reactive and preventative maintenance on a range of machinery including pumps, hydrocoolers, and cooking vessels.

Typical Duties
  • Responding to equipment breakdowns and conducting fault diagnosis
  • Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks
  • Mechanical repairs including work on hydraulics, pneumatics, belts, bearings, gearboxes, and chains
  • Electrical tasks including working with 3-phase systems, motor testing, sensors, relays, and inverters
  • Involvement in process improvement and contributing to maintenance schedules
Desirable Experience & Skills
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Mechanical and/or electrical background
  • PLC fault finding (preferably Mitsubishi)
  • Welding and light machining
  • Previous experience in food production or fast-paced manufacturing is a bonus
  • Ex-Forces or international candidates with valid UK work rights welcome
