Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a leading manufacturing company in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. This permanent night-shift position runs Monday–Thursday 9.30pm–6am and Friday 9.30pm–3am, with 40 hours per week and overtime paid at 1.5x and 2x.

The role includes ongoing training and engineering development within a market-leading operation. The successful candidate will perform plant-wide proactive and reactive maintenance, cover multiple lines, drive improvements, and use CMMS to

• Proven mechanical or electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to perform planned and reactive maintenance across lines.
• Experience driving improvements and reliability via CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for plant-wide proactive and reactive maintenance to ensure optimum factory performance.
• Cover planned and reactive maintenance across manufacturing lines.
• Help drive plant improvements and efficiencies and resolve recurring issues (RCA).
• Enhance plant reliability using CMMS and best practices.

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer

• Responsible for plant wide proactive and reactive Mechanical Maintenance activities to ensure the optimum performance of the factory.
• Covering planned and reactive maintenance activities across manufacturing lines
• Help to drive plant improvements and increased efficiencies
• Identify and resolve recurring plant issues through engineering improvements (RCA)
• Enhance plant reliability with best practices using CMMS

Required Experience & Qualifications needed as a Maintenance Engineer

• You will need to hold the following Mechanical or Electrical Vocational and Technical qualifications to be considered: Time served Maintenance Engineer, City and Guilds Level 3, BTEC Level 3 or higher with NVQ Level 3, OR be Apprentice trained to level 3 or equivalent.
• Strong planned and reactive Mechanical or Electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment as an Maintenance Engineer
