Job description

Due to the continued success of this manufacturing business, they are looking to expand the engineering team in the Leicestershire region. You will need to work as a Maintenance Engineer and be competent in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. There will be opportunities to learn from your peers and through internal and external training courses. You will join a team of engineers where you can use your skills to improve production on site and contribute to the continued growth of the team. This award-winning company has been established for over 30 years and is a leading manufacturer in their industry with multiple sites across the UK.

Salary and Shift Details

They are offering a salary package circa £47,430, working a permanent night shift. Salary increases to £50,749 in two increments following on-site experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain and enhance the performance of all machinery.
  2. Reduce engineering downtime and respond rapidly to machine failures and breakdowns.
  3. Undertake projects and assist with all site installations.
  4. Develop and improve planned maintenance schedules.
  5. Maintain clear communication with management and colleagues.
  6. Prioritise work within the engineering department.
Skills and Qualifications
  • NVQ3 / ONC / HNC in Engineering.
  • Time served (apprenticeship trained) engineer.
  • F.M.C.G. experience is preferable.
  • Fault finding on 3-phase control circuits (required).
  • Experience with control systems (required).
  • Experience with PLCs (preferred).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
