Job summary

A leading Defence client in Havant seeks a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the availability and reliability of machinery and facilities. This role involves improving maintenance processes and complying with HSE legislation. Candidates should have hands-on experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems, as well as proficiency in Microsoft and complex maintenance programs, with SAP experience being desirable.

Qualifications

  • Experienced in preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience of Hydraulics/Pneumatics/Electrics/Mechanical is advantageous.
  • Proven teamwork and lone working experience.

Responsibilities

  • Improve and maintain the availability of all CNC and Manual machinery.
  • Implement current HSE legislation including certification and monitoring.
  • Ensure availability of facilities and machinery to maximize productivity.
  • Be involved with the delivery of facilities projects to schedule and cost.

Overview

Copello are supporting a leading Defence client in their search for a hands-on Maintenance Engineer. You will be managing the facilities, infrastructure, and assets. Using your technical expertise, supported by a network of suppliers and subcontractors, you will ensure maximum availability of equipment in a safe, cost-effective, and world-class manner. You will work in line with their goals, targets, and statutory obligations, coordinating activities to meet operational and compliance requirements. From day-to-day maintenance to long-term improvements, you will help secure the reliability and efficiency of our facilities.

Responsibilities
  • As the Maintenance Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
  • Responsible for helping to improve and maintain the availability of all CNC and Manual machinery, plant and infrastructure at all facilities through a programme of Preventative Maintenance.
  • To implement current HSE legislation including certification, monitoring and inspection in areas of responsibility.
  • To ensure the availability of facilities, equipment and machinery to maximise productivity of the business.
  • To be actively be involved with the delivery of projects relating to facilities to schedule, cost and agreed requirements.
Qualifications
  • Experienced in preventative (and reactive) maintenance.
  • Hands on experience of Hydraulics /Pneumatics /Electrics /Mechanical is advantageous.
