Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Forfar is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a large production facility within an established international manufacturing group in Angus. The role offers a salary of up to £50,000 per annum and a three-shift rotation including days, backs and nights.

Responsibilities include organizing maintenance, installing plant and machinery, conducting preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, portable appliance testing, and upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Time-served electrical background or HNC/City & Guilds level.
• Mechanical discipline knowledge is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of Electrical Regulations.
• Ability to work on your own initiative with strong communication skills.

Job description

Maintenance Engineer to join an established technical manufacturing business based in Forfar.

Our client is part of an established international manufacturing group, operating a large production facility in Angus with a strong reputation for quality and innovation across their sector.

What's on offer?

• Up to £50,000 per annum
• Three shift rotation across days, backs and nights:

Day shift: 07:00 to 15:00 or 08:00 to 16:00

Back shift: 15:00 to 23:00 or 16:00 to 00:00

Night shift: 00:00 to 08:00

• 48-hour on-call period required one weekend in five

As a Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include:

• Organising and prioritising maintenance work on a shift-by-shift basis
• Installation of plant and machinery
• Conducting preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns
• Carrying out portable appliance testing
• Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times

To be considered as a Maintenance Engineer, you will need:

• A time-served electrical background or educated to Higher National Certificate or City and Guilds level
• Additional training or knowledge in the mechanical discipline is advantageous
• Working knowledge of current Electrical Regulations
• The ability to work on your own initiative with strong communication skills
