Connect Appointments is recruiting a Maintenance Electrician to join a established technical manufacturing business based in Forfar, Scotland. The role offers a full-time permanent position with a salary up to £50,000 per year.

The role operates on a three-shift rotation (days, backs and nights) with on-call requirements and focuses on maintenance, installation, preventative work and compliance with electrical regulations.

• Time-served electrical background with relevant qualification.
• Experience with installation of plant and machinery.
• Knowledge of Electrical Regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Organising and prioritising maintenance work on a shift-by-shift basis.

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Maintenance Electrician to join an established technical manufacturing business based in Forfar.

Our client is part of an established international manufacturing group, operating a large production facility in Angus with a strong reputation for quality and innovation across their sector.

What's on offer?

• Full-time permanent position
• Up to £50,000 per annum
• Three shift rotation across days, backs and nights:
  • Day shift: 07:00 to 15:00 or 08:00 to 16:00
  • Back shift: 15:00 to 23:00 or 16:00 to 00:00
  • Night shift: 00:00 to 08:00
• 48-hour on-call period required one weekend in five

As a Maintenance Electrician, your duties will include:

• Organising and prioritising maintenance work on a shift-by-shift basis
• Installation of plant and machinery
• Conducting preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns
• Carrying out portable appliance testing
• Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times

To be considered as a Maintenance Electrician, you will need:

• A time-served electrical background, educated to HNC or City and Guilds level
• Additional training or knowledge in the mechanical discipline
• Working knowledge of current Electrical Regulations
• The ability to work on your own initiative with strong communication skills
