Vickerstock is partnering with a well-known brand in the food industry to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their weekday shift pattern.

Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer:

1. Ensure all scheduled maintenance, including fault diagnosis, is completed efficiently.
2. Collaborate with Engineering Management and Production Management to optimize asset utilization and minimize costs.
3. Support the company's Net Zero Energy initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce energy consumption.
4. Maintain the physical assets and fabric of the site.
5. Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and installations on equipment, buildings, and services. Address breakdowns and resolve defects in designated areas.
6. Identify and repair mechanical and electrical faults, providing callout support to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
7. Proactively detect and address potential equipment issues.
8. Work with other team members to ensure efficient equipment operation and prioritize tasks accordingly.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

1. Proven experience in a similar maintenance role.
2. Knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
3. Experience working with automated machinery in a high-volume production environment.
4. Skills in mechanical fault diagnosis, maintenance, and installation.
5. Experience performing preventive maintenance on motors, gearboxes, conveyor systems, rollers, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
6. Ability to adjust and calibrate machinery to optimal settings.
