Job summary

UPS is seeking a Maintenance Engineer in Tamworth to maintain equipment at package handling facilities. You will inspect, troubleshoot, adjust and replace electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and welding equipment, and perform preventive maintenance on conveyors and power industrial systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical engineering preferred.
• Electrical troubleshooting and motor control knowledge.
• Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Respond to internal customers.
• Respond to facility alarms and emergencies.
• Troubleshoot problems that arise within the sortation system and facility.
• Perform preventative maintenance.

Job Summary

This position maintains maintenance activities at UPS package handling facilities. It involves inspection, troubleshooting, adjusting, and replacement of electrical equipment, mechanical components, and pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding equipment. The role performs preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as conveyors, bulk carts, and power industrial equipment, and may perform other tasks as requested.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Industry recognized qualifications in engineering preferred
• Electrical experience preferred
• Preferred programming experience including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams
• Clean UK Driving License
