Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer for a global manufacturing business. You will perform both electrical and mechanical maintenance on automated plant equipment, with electrical skills required for the role.

Join a team that supports projects, installations and breakdowns, and carries out PPMs to minimise downtime. A time-served or apprentice-trained background is preferred, with commutable access from Crewe and nearby areas.

Qualifications

• Time served, apprentice trained or above.
• Previous experience working in a maintenance focused role within a manufacturing/production environment or similar.
• Electrical understanding and ability to change like-for-like parts; basic fault finding; potential electrical training offered by the company.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production downtime.
• Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns.
• Carry out Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPMs).

Overview

We now require a Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team. Working for a manufacturing business that have sites across the globe you will be working in a multi skilled role. Both electrical and mechanical engineers considered, however electrical skills will be required for the role.

Key responsibilities

• To maintain, service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.
• Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns
• PPM's

Qualifications / candidate profile

• Time served, apprentice trained or above
• Previous experience working in a maintenance focused role within a manufacturing/production environment or similar.
• An electrical understanding changing like for like parts and basic fault finding would be beneficial if you do not have electrical certifications (Electrical training can be given - the company provide electrical courses offsite)
• Experienced working with Hydraulic focused machinery beneficial
