The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that all machinery is maintained to a high standard, with the aim of minimising downtime.

Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer:

  • Planning and scheduling maintenance works to maximise operational efficiency and minimise downtime
  • Conducting electrical and mechanical maintenance, including reactive breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance on conveyor belt systems, shredders, balers, and separation equipment
  • Collaborating with equipment suppliers on new equipment installations and modifications
  • Troubleshooting using PLC programmes
  • Carrying out general site maintenance on other specified equipment to ensure the plant remains operational and efficient
  • Monitoring line and machine performance closely
  • Performing preventative and predictive maintenance routines

Ideally, as a Maintenance Engineer, you will have:

  • A qualification in either Mechanical or Electrical engineering
  • A minimum of two years' experience within an FMCG environment
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
  • Clear and strong communication skills
