Guenther Bakeries Europe in Coventry is seeking an enthusiastic Engineer to take responsibility for proactive and reactive maintenance in a fast-paced bakery environment, reporting to the Engineering Manager. The role covers daily plant inspections, responding to stoppages, fault finding, and maintaining PM schedules, with a rotating days/nights pattern.

You will work with a supportive team, be committed to safety and continuous improvement, and contribute to reliable production at Lyons Park

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
• Engineering HND / HNC / BTech / ONC / C&G Level 3 qualifications or higher.
• CMMS Knowledge and experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to work within a bakery setting with safety practices and shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Daily plant inspections and monitoring of plant performance.
• Respond quickly to plant stoppages and plan/implement modifications to equipment.
• Maintain safe working practices and comply with HSE policies.
• Carry out fault finding and repairs on equipment and plant.
• Ensure PM (PPM) schedules are current and followed.
• Document work performed, root causes of failures, and spares/consumables used.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and methods.

We’re now looking for a proactive, detail driven Engineer to help us deliver outstanding products and join our friendly and fast‑paced team at Lyons Park, Coventry.

Role:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager with the support of the Lead Engineer you will take responsibility for both proactive and re‑active maintenance within a fast paced production environment.

This is a panama shift working days /nights/weekends on a rotating shift pattern.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Daily plant inspections, monitoring plant performance
• Facilitate speedy response to all plant stoppages and plan/implement modifications to new and existing equipment
• Work in a safe and effective manner following site HSE policies and safe working practices
• Carry out fault finding diagnosis/repairs on equipment and plant
• You will have to ensure the PPM schedules are maintained in accordance with the current requirements
• Continuous Improvement – Identify new methods and procedures
• Ensure accurate and timely records are entered / recorded of all work carried out, root causes of failures and of spares / consumables used

• Time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline
• Engineering HND / HNC / BTech / ONC / C&G Level 3 qualifications or higher

Location Requirement
