We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team within Vistry Works East Midlands, at our Bardon factory in Coalville, Leicestershire on an afternoon shift 2pm - 10pm. As our Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring all machinery is in correct working order and escalating concerns affecting productivity. You will maintain various machinery and perform minor repairs within a manufacturing plant producing modular timber frame panels.

What we expect from you

• Experience with CNC woodworking machinery (desirable)
• HNC / ONC in Mechanical Engineering
• NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, capable of minor repairs on various machinery
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment, ideally timber frame
• Understanding of process improvement and preventative maintenance

Role responsibilities

• Schedule and perform planned preventative maintenance on factory machinery
• Work with health and safety to ensure compliance
• Quickly resolve mechanical breakdowns, prioritizing safety
• Undertake project work as assigned
• Monitor and repair air handling systems
• Support other departments with engineering needs
• Perform other reasonable tasks as directed
