We are seeking a multi-skilled engineer with PLC experience or a willingness to learn, to work in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment in Chesterfield. The role emphasizes proactive maintenance and involves working as part of a small team to ensure smooth plant operations. The position offers a Panama Days shift pattern, providing a good work-life balance. Candidates with experience in similar manufacturing or distribution settings are preferred.

The Role of a Maintenance Engineer

• Perform daily maintenance of the facility and manage the PPM system.
• Maintain the plant to ensure safety, efficiency, and continuous operation.
• Comply with all relevant legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Assist with installation and implementation of capital projects as needed.
• Follow all established procedures.
• Collaborate effectively within the engineering team.
• Adhere to safety, health, environmental, and quality policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• NVQ / C&G Level 3 or higher in electrical or multi-skilled maintenance.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is preferred.
• Team player with a passion for craftsmanship.

Benefits for the Maintenance Engineer

• Panama shift pattern:
  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• Working hours: 7am - 7pm
• Annual salary: £48,250
• Occasional weekend call-outs
