A logistics and automation company in Chesterfield is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. This role involves supporting a fast-paced automated distribution environment through hands-on engineering, maintenance, and safety practices. Candidates should have solid electrical and mechanical skills, ideally with Level 3 engineering qualifications. Overview

A great opportunity to join a globally operating and successful logistics / automation company as a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer working in an automated distribution centre in Chesterfield. Ideally seeking electrically biased, multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers to support the engineering team. If you have strong electrical skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this role could be a great fit for you.

  • Mon to Fri - 3 Shift Pattern. (Earlies, Lates, Nights)

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver hands-on engineering to support the logistics system running smoothly
  • Perform both reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment
  • Keep maintenance records up to date using CMMS system
  • Follow safety and repair best practices at all times
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
Requirements
  • Ideally fully apprenticeship trained with Level 3 engineering qualifications
  • Good level of electrical and mechanical knowledge from a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Working knowledge of PLC control systems, desirably Siemens S7
  • Experience of automated materials handling systems would also be an advantage but not essential
  • Happy to work a shift pattern with earlies, lates and nights
  • Ok to work at heights when needed (via harnesses and full training etc)
