An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of the UK’s leading manufacturers, specialising in the FMCG sector. The company has been established for over 50 years and is well-established, supplying a variety of end users. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an engineer to strengthen their engineering team.

• Understanding of PPM systems within FMCG Manufacturing

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring work is carried out to high standards and maximizing machine efficiencies.

Candidates should have an electrical engineering background, be able to work independently, be a time-served engineer with a multi-skilled bias, and have experience in fast-moving manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the production team to minimize machinery downtime and conduct preventative maintenance to prevent disruptions.
• Support within the engineering team to improve plant productivity and investigate breakdowns and damages.
• Perform repairs, record measures taken, and identify recurrent faults.
• Engage in electrical and mechanical proactive and reactive maintenance.
• Ensure availability of spare parts, materials, and equipment.
• Promote health and safety on site.
