Job description
Overview

We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a leading UK manufacturer on a 12-month fixed-term contract at their Cannock site. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to work with modern production machinery in a fast-paced environment, carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance.

The Role

You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving production machinery, ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum and reliability is maximised. This includes working with hydraulics, pumps, shafts, bearings, gearboxes, and other mechanical components, as well as supporting site projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience
  • Time-served Maintenance Engineer (NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND or equivalent)
  • Strong background in mechanical maintenance - hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes, shafts, bearings etc.
  • Multi-skilled knowledge (basic electrical fault finding) would be advantageous
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, or similar environments
  • Proactive approach with a strong focus on health & safety
