Burberry seeks a Sewing Machinery Service Engineer Trainee in Castleford, working with the engineering team to service equipment. You will focus on maintaining machinery and contribute to maintenance strategies with attention to detail in a collaborative environment. This role offers the chance to develop in the luxury fashion industry.
Burberry manufactures its Heritage trench coats and iconic fabrics at its two Internal Manufacturing sites located in the North of England; in Castleford, and near Keighley in Yorkshire, respectively.
Burberry trench coats are made by expert workers combining traditional techniques with modern technological developments. More than 100 highly skilled processes are required to make a single trench coat to ensure that the quality and unique appearance of Burberry’s most iconic product is maintained. More than 600 people are employed at the site across a two-shift system.
Roles in Castleford range from pattern development and fabric cutting, to (highly skilled) machinists and hand finishers, as well as warehousing, packing and administration.

As a Sewing Machinery Service Engineer Trainee you will work with the engineering and facilities team in servicing our equipment at Burberry’s Castleford Factory. You will learn how to perform required servicing to machinery and support the development of maintenance strategies.
