Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimise production downtime.
• Complete fault finding and repairs on a range of manufacturing equipment.
• Identify opportunities to improve machinery reliability and performance.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety standards.

MULTI SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Location: Bury, Manchester

Salary: Up to £45,000

Shift: Monday to Friday, DAYS ONLY

NO NIGHTS & NO WEEKENDS

The Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Bury, Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically or mechanically biased engineer looking for a stable days-based role, offering a great work-life balance with no nights or weekends!

You will play a key role in maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns and carrying out planned preventative maintenance to ensure machinery operates efficiently and downtime is kept to a minimum.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimise production downtime.
• Complete fault finding and repairs on a range of manufacturing equipment.
• Identify opportunities to improve machinery reliability and performance.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety standards.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Engineer role.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and preventative maintenance.

Desirable Experience

• Experience with PLC fault finding.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and reliability engineering.
• Experience maintaining automated production machinery.
