Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, highly skilled electrical engineering professional to join a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment in Blackburn. Working on a 4-on-4-off shift pattern, this role offers the chance to work in a state of the art manufacturing site, working for a fantastic people driven business. With ambitious expansion and investment plans, this is a great time to join. You will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and minimising downtime across a wide range of food production equipment, whilst being involved in exciting modernisation projects.

This role would suit a proactive, hardworking maintenance engineer with the flexibility to be able to quickly transition from job to job. The role requires an electrical maintenance engineer who is time served, with a minimum qualification of level 3 with strong PLC fault finding capabilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers and an apprentice to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and ensure accurate fault diagnosis and repair.
  • Minimise equipment downtime by addressing recurring faults and implementing improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage shift-related admin including holidays and OT.
  • Champion health & safety, building maintenance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role offers a competitive salary of £42,500 per Annum, with an auto-enrolment pension. In addition, the company offers great opportunities for both personal and professional opportunities.
