Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire

Job Start date: ASAP

Shift Pattern: Panama - 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off (2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights)

We're supporting our client, a global, leading components manufacturer based in Blackburn, who are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Maintenance Engineer will have previous experience with automated systems, as well as PLC knowledge.

Responsibilities for Maintenance Engineer:
  1. Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and systems, including electrical and mechanical equipment.
  2. Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining operational efficiency.
  3. Fault finding on PLC's.
  4. Diagnosis and root cause analysis.
  5. Maintenance on hydraulics and pneumatics.
  6. Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  7. Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
About You:
  1. Ideally multi-skilled maintenance abilities.
  2. PLC knowledge.
  3. Experience with automated systems.
  4. Proven experience with various electrical systems and components, including low and high voltage equipment.
