Overview

Reed Engineering are working alongside a facilities provider who are looking to add a Maintenance Technician to their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will be working as part of a team on a static basis covering an estate in the Penicuik area dedicated to scientific research. Your role will be to maintain, service and repair all plant and equipment on site some of which is specialist scientific kit.

Work will be carried out in a variety of settings including: workshops, warehouses, office space, surgeries, lecture theatres, farmland, laboratories and animal enclosures. You will participate in an on-call rota one week in every five.

  • Operate across a variety of settings including workshops, warehouses, office space, surgeries, lecture theatres, farmland, laboratories and animal enclosures.
  • Contribute to on-call rota with one week in five on-call schedule.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Time-served trades background
  • Full driving licence
  • Desirable: experience with one or more of the following systems:
    • Water treatment systems
    • Air handling units (belt driven)
    • Effluent treatment plant
    • Steam generators
    • Autoclaves
    • Steam sterilizers
