Job description

Shift: 5:45 AM 3:30 PM (with flexibility for planned maintenance)

You ll be a key player in keeping the production lines running. You ll diagnose and fix faults across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, carry out preventative maintenance, and work closely with production to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Work with control panels, automation equipment, and both high and low voltage systems.
  • Maintain site utilities including boilers, lighting, and services.
  • Keep maintenance logs and assist with managing spare parts.
  • Support production improvements through technical input.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production setting
  • Knowledge of machinery such as Grinders, VeMag, and Check Weighers (training can be provided)
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills
  • Excellent fault-finding ability and strong team ethic
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • 17th or 18th Edition Electrical (desirable)
  • PLC experience (preferred but not essential)
Working Conditions: This is an industrial environment where the engineer will be exposed to machinery, noise, and production activity. Health and safety are strictly enforced, and all necessary PPE is provided.
