On-Call Requirement:This role includes being on-call one weekend in every five, covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. When on call, you will receive £25 per day, with an additional £25 paid for any actual call-outs.
We are looking for a strong team player with a high regard for health, safety, and poultry welfare to maintain the hatchery machinery and associated equipment on a daily basis. This includes equipment such as setting and hatching machines, ventilation systems, and ongoing improvement projects.
This is a hands-on role involving manual processes, including lifting equipment up to 25 kg. You will be expected to work independently within farm buildings.
Key responsibilitiesMaintain and repair hatchery machinery and plant
Support ongoing improvement projects
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and poultry welfare standards
Work independently and as part of a team
Prioritise workload effectively
Qualified in a relevant engineering trade
Broad understanding of mechanical processes and assemblies
Knowledge of facilities maintenance, including welding, fabrication, plumbing, and pipe fitting
Effective communication skills and a good team player
Committed, reliable, and flexible attitude
Ability to use initiative and work independently
Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 15:30
