Job summary
Randstad Construction and Property is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Cumbria. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary and a company van.
You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, conduct inspections, ensure BS 7671 compliance, and support management with technical guidance. A full UK driving licence and on-call availability are required.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering is required.
- 18th edition City & Guilds is required.
- Full UK driving licence and on-call availability are essential.
Responsibilities
- Deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance as part of the engineering team.
- Carry out electrical planned preventative maintenance for reliability and safety.
- Inspect, test, and service plant equipment including motors and switchgear.
- Perform fixed wire testing and PAT, keeping accurate records.
- Diagnose faults and carry out reactive repairs on electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with BS 7671 and industry standards.
- Oversee subcontractors and provide recommendations.
- Promote safe working practices and Health & Safety compliance.
- Provide technical support to management.
