We are searching for a team member to join us as a Maintenance Electrician at our Immingham Plant.
Within this role, the Maintenance Electrician (shift) will work an average of just 12 shifts per month. Shifts are 12 hours and require flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.

  • Do you have experience working with PLC control systems, ideally Siemens S7?
  • Do you have knowledge of safe systems of work and a strong commitment to health and safety procedures?
  • Do you have experience using CMMS systems, such as SAP, for maintenance management?

What you'll be doing:

You are expected to provide electrical expertise on shift to maximise plant availability through effective preventative maintenance and quick reactive responses to breakdowns. You will support the manufacturing team by providing good customer service, assisting with breakdowns, quality issues, technical improvements, daily operations, supporting the Shift Manager, and assisting the Shift Fitter when required. You will also input relevant data into our SAP system and provide clear shift handovers to colleagues.

  • You are required to follow company Health and Safety procedures to ensure safety for yourself and others.
  • Be aware of and implement current H&S standards and environmental policies.
  • Always prioritize safety; seek advice and clarification if unsure before proceeding.
  • Provide breakdown assistance as needed.
  • Monitor machine failures and suggest changes to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Carry out online CMB Maintenance focusing on Thermography and Vibration Analysis.
  • Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Prepare work for maintenance periods, sourcing parts and equipment.
  • Identify process improvements through additions and modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of work on T-CON/SAP after training.
  • Provide full and detailed handovers at shift change.
  • Participate in daily maintenance meetings when appropriate.
  • Build good working relationships with colleagues.
  • Lead and participate in projects and process improvements.
  • Take responsibility for personal development.
  • Operate according to 5S standards, maintaining workplace efficiency.
What we'd love for you to have:
  • Completed electrical apprenticeship with proven problem-solving skills.
  • HNC in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficiency with workshop machinery and equipment.
  • Technical competence in production improvements in a continuous process environment.
  • Knowledge of electrical power, control, and PLC systems (preferably Siemens S7).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing techniques, standards, and safe systems of work.
  • Experience with CMMS systems (preferably SAP).
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Autonomous working skills and teamwork capabilities.
