Overview

As a key member of the electrical team, you will work on site as part of a small team, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and ensuring all relevant documentation is completed to a high standard. You will lead fixed wire testing, including five-year inspections, and deliver compliance testing in line with JSP375 standards. The role includes responding to emergency callouts on critical systems, performing minor installations and repair work across domestic and commercial buildings, including offices, airplane hangars, airfields and domestic dwellings. You will maintain excellent communication with clients and building facilities managers on site.

You will be part of the out-of-hours callout rota and may use pool vehicles to access RAF Fairford and RAF Welford. Representing the company on the front line, your communication skills and professionalism will reflect VIVO's values and commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and ensure documentation is completed to a high standard.
• Lead fixed wire testing, including five-year inspections, and perform compliance testing in accordance with JSP375 standards.
• Respond to emergency callouts on critical systems and perform minor installations and repair work across domestic and commercial buildings (offices, hangars, airfields, and dwellings).
• Maintain strong communication with clients and on-site facilities managers.
• Participate in the out-of-hours callout rota and travel to sites using pool vehicles where required.
• Represent the company professionally on-site, upholding safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

• City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391 (Testing & Inspection) is essential.
• Strong experience in electrical maintenance and repair in commercial and domestic environments.
• Experience as an Authorised Person or Authorising Engineer is a bonus.
• Desirable: COMPEX or ATEX qualifications (opportunities to undertake these courses for successful candidates).
• Full UK driving licence and mobility to access RAF Fairford and RAF Welford.
