Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting a Maintenance Electrician for a long-term facilities contract at HMP Haverigg near Millom. You will carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on secure site systems and support compliance with BS 7671.

The role is permanent, 39 hours per week with a 1 in 3 weekend rota. Applicants should hold Level 2 electrical qualification and 18th Edition, with DBS clearance and the ability to work safely at height.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 electrical qualification and 18th Edition.
• Experience with electrical maintenance and preventive maintenance (PPM).
• Ability to work independently and safely at height in a secured site.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance and fault-finding.
• Complete minor electrical works, testing and inspections to BS 7671.
• Maintain safe, compliant systems and support wider facilities duties.

Location: HMP Haverigg, near Millom, Cumbria (LA18 4NA)

Salary: £30,866-£36,135 + 15% weekend allowance | Permanent | 39 hours per week

Hours: 1 in 3 weekends on a rota; weekday and weekend shifts generally start at 08:00.

The role

What you'll need

• Level 2 electrical qualification and 18th Edition (17th considered with upskilling).
• Electrical maintenance, health and safety and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) knowledge.
• Confidence working independently and at height; knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations.
