About the role

Join our busy team at Harewood Bakery, providing round-the-clock support to ensure our products are delivered on time. This varied role is responsible for high-quality electrical services and supporting production and site activities to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.

Position: Maintenance Electrician
Location: Harewood, Christchurch
Shift: 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM, 4 days on & 4 days off (rotating roster)
Requirements: Public holidays and weekend work are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement maintenance opportunities, including improving maintenance schedules for electrical equipment and systems.
  • Achieve maintenance and reliability targets.
  • Optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Use strong problem-solving skills to find faults and solve problems.
  • Implement improvements to drive operational performance.
  • Partner with our production team and onsite leaders.
  • Champion high standards of food safety, health, and safety practices.

About You:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ electrical maintenance experience in an FMCG environment.
  • Full Electrical license and registered with the Electrical Workers Registration Board of NZ.
  • Ability to work rotating night shifts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Great attention to detail and results-driven.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
