Job summary

Babcock, at HM Naval Base Clyde Faslane, is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to maintain essential electrical systems across the site and support national security operations.

The role is full-time, 36 hours per week on site, requires Security Check clearance, and offers a competitive salary of £40,967 with a suite of benefits including pension, medical support, and staff incentives.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining electrical systems in industrial, engineering, defence, or similar environments.
• Ability to fault-find and repair electrical equipment and infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret and complete maintenance documentation accurately.
• Experience working with COSHH and health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Apply electrical regulations and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance to maximise equipment availability.
• Identify, diagnose and rectify electrical faults and infrastructure issues.
• Repair and maintain electrical installations, including lighting and sockets.
• Work in accordance with health and safety legislation and site procedures.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance processes and performance.
