Job Description

Position: Electrical Maintenance Technician

In this role, you will be responsible for electrical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of various systems within our facility, as well as installation and modification of equipment for new projects.

Key Duties include:

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and PLC issues on machinery
  • Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance, including weekend and off-shift work
  • Assist with project installation activities as directed by the Plant Manager
  • Analyze and resolve electrical malfunctions promptly to prevent production delays
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and participate in safety initiatives
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels for critical spare parts, identifying gaps
  • Report on safety-related repairs and activities regularly
  • Complete required computer-based training
  • Participate in daily production meetings and weekly WIG meetings, providing updates
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Read instructions, diagrams, and manuals; use meters, tools, and shop equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Valid Vermont Journeyman License (Masters preferred)
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree a plus
  • Experience with HMI and Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC (training provided)
  • Heavy industry experience with electrical systems and production equipment
  • Minimum of two years’ electrical maintenance experience
  • Proficiency in preventative maintenance systems is a plus
  • Ability to work long or odd hours, stand for extended periods, and lift over 50 lbs
