RESPONSIBILITIES

DUTIES

  • Upholding high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping across all plant, yard, and compound areas.
  • Assisting with stock takes of all raw materials including bulk storage and drums, as directed by the Production Supervisor.
  • Safely offloading delivery tankers and loading collection tankers as required.
  • Monitoring and replenishing gaff bag stock to ensure adequate supply levels are maintained.
  • Ensuring spill kits and grit boxes are stocked and in good working order throughout the site.
  • Checking the heating plan and pre-heating materials in preparation for production runs.
  • Labelling and managing stock of IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers) in the compound.
  • Participating in the solvent recovery programme and correctly labelling recovered materials.
  • Supporting batch filtration processes and following formulation batch sheet specifications accurately.
  • Reporting any deviations from standard procedures promptly and in writing to the Production Supervisor.

This Maintenance Electrician position is commutable from the following locations: Warrington / Skelmersdale / Bolton / Wigan

The Maintenance Electrician will be required to work the following Shift: Continental – 4on-4off systems – 2days-2nights. 12 hours Shift.

The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible and hold the following experience:

  • As mentioned, key to the role is the fault finding and programming experience with PLC’s / Hardware. Siemens & Allen Bradley
  • Previous experience within a Manufacturing environment
  • Maintain and install all electrical machinery
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance
  • Complete maintenance work orders, use of CMMS systems
  • Be able to communicate at all levels throughout the business
  • Electrically Biased – but holding a split on the mechanical Side
  • Knowledge of variable speed drives
  • Must be able to read schematic drawings
  • 17/18th IEE Wiring regulations
  • Proven experience within a similar role
  • Apprentice trained holding a HNC / HND in Electrical engineering
