Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join one of the country's leading Facilities Management companies working around Reading and the surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background and hold electrical qualifications such as NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in electrical installations or maintenance, and 18th edition as a minimum.

The role will be working as part of a team at a number of retail sites in the region undertaking a range of building maintenance duties. The purpose of this role is to carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical plant.

Duties:

1. Support other technicians with any major or minor maintenance work.
2. Complete all necessary PPM's and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and as required.
3. Prioritising and completing minor maintenance and repair work to agreed timescales.
4. Ensuring all tools and equipment necessary to complete minor maintenance and repairs are always available and serviceable.
5. Although aligned to an area for the purpose of PPM completion, there may be times that the Technician will be required to attend other sites within the cluster to carry out work.
6. Work with company and client colleagues to ensure laid-down standards of quality are always maintained.
7. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with clients and colleagues.
8. Carry out all tasks in accordance with specific KPI's.
9. Monitor and update the Mercury system accurately ensuring live job updates from you and your team at all times.

Qualifications:

1. NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in electrical installations / parts 1 & 2
2. Or recognized apprenticeship equivalent
3. 18th Edition

Salary / Package:

Basic Salary - £35841 + £2535 standby payments = £38376
Travel time paid after first 30m at overtime rate
Overtime 1.5x Monday to Friday, 2x Saturday and Sunday
Call Out - 1 in 4 weeks
