Location: Derby, Derbyshire
Salary: GBP45,000-GBP47,000 per annum
Hours: Flexible Hours Monday - Friday on Day Shift (6:00-16:00 / 7:00-17:00 etc)
Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The Client:
Interaction Technical have partnered with a leading construction materials group based in Derby on their search for a skilled electrical engineer to join their growing team. Our client operates a network of quarries, concrete and asphalt plants throughout the UK and have now reached a stage of growth where they are looking to add to their Electrical Maintenance team.

The Duties:

• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance system
• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on quarry and asphalt plant equipment (crushers, screeners, loaders, burners etc)
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently and safely, working with PLC's, relays and VSD's
• Support plant improvement projects and upgrades
• Respond to unplanned plant shutdowns and emergencies
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams, as well as external contractors
• Travel to other sites in the Midlands as required

The Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience within heavy Electrical Engineering (essential)
• Previous experience in a heavy industrial environment (essential)
• Strong knowledge of electrical LV isolation and maintenance techniques (essential)
• Understanding of medium/high voltage networks and switching methods (essential)
• 17th / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (advantageous)
• BS7671 Inspection & Testing knowledge (advantageous)
• PLC and VSD experience (advantageous)
• Full UK driving licence
