Site based Maintenance Electrician - Newcastle upon Tyne - National Facilities Management Organisation: Retail & Commercial Real Estate

CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our national client on a permanent basis, who are a leading provider in facilities management solutions, delivering top-tier services across various industries.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance within commercial settings, as they will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

This is astaticcontract, based in theCity Centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, with parking facilities available.

Package:

• Competitive salary between £40,000 - £43,500 per annum (depending on experience)
• Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
• Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on call rota (to be confirmed)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and ensure the longevity of electrical equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions to restore functionality
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical components, such as wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate repairs and upgrades
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure working environment

Qualifications:

• Qualified to at least City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• Holding up to date 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role within the facilities management industry
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry
