Qualifications

• A recognised engineering/electrical qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Previous experience in maintenance within a food production or manufacturing environment.

Overview

Maintenance Electrician – Swadlincote. Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm or 8:00am–5:00pm. Salary: £33,072 pa.

Are you a maintenance electrician looking for your next permanent opportunity? As a Maintenance Electrician, you'll play a key part in ensuring the production lines and site equipment are reliable, efficient, and safe.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
• Responding to breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime
• Overhauling and repairing plant machinery including PLCs
• Installing and commissioning new machinery and electrical systems
• Conducting fault finding and problem-solving to ensure the most effective solutions

Qualifications / Experience

• A recognised engineering/electrical qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Previous experience in maintenance within a food production or manufacturing environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams
• Flexibility, initiative, and the ability to thrive under pressure
