Maintenance Technician - Responsibilities
This is a unique opportunity to join the Compliance Engineering Maintenance Team. As a Maintenance Electrician you will be performing routine maintenance on a wide range of Electrical and Instrumentation plant systems Work on project-based tasks, breakdown repairs, and implement safe electrical isolations. Be at the forefront of technological innovation in the nuclear sector

Skills

  • Time-Served Electrician or Instrument Mechanic with a recognised apprenticeship (e.g. NVQ Level 3 Electrical Instrumentation or equivalent).
  • Proficient in interpreting single-line electrical drawings, instructions, and manuals.
  • Willingness to obtain Developed Vetting Clearance (including identity, employment, financial, criminal record checks, and 10 years of UK residency).
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and calm under pressure.
  • Capable of making informed decisions in high-stakes situations.
  • Ability to become appointed as a Nominated Person Electrical.


Ideally you will come from the nuclear industry however this is not a prerequisite my client will consider candidates who have an electrical background who have either worked in a regulated industry like defence or oil & gas but also offshore and the water industries or the forces. You do have to be either Security Cleared or able to obtain Security Clearance. My client will also put you through DV clearance.
