Job description

Are you an experienced Maintenance Electrician seeking a fresh and challenging new role based in the heart of Dudley? If yes, we want to hear from you!


Annual Salary: £35,000 to £38,000 plus overtime
Hours of work: 0600 - 1400 / 1100 - 19.30 Monday to Friday


Our Client is a world leader in forging and engineering, globally renowned for open die forgings, heat treatment, machining, testing and steel stock. Working as a Maintenance Electrician you will be joining an established, highly experienced team.


JOB PURPOSE:

Engineering cover of all electrical systems + other engineering support where required.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Working with maintenance management and area managers to increase the uptime of equipment across the site.
  2. Equipment includes forging presses, hammers, furnaces, CNC lathes, millers and borers, manual lathes and borers.
  3. Maintenance of equipment both preventive and reactive.
  4. Timely response to all reactive breakdowns.
  5. Flexibility to work around production requirements.
  6. Improvement projects.
  7. Installation and upkeep of site electrical services.
  8. Build relationships with Production Operatives, Maintenance Team and Sub-contract Engineers.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  1. Working in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. Machine availability to production.
  3. Increasing the uptime of and future-proofing ageing equipment as well as keeping new equipment in good condition.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  1. Strong knowledge of electrical principles required.
  2. C&G / apprentice trained.
  3. Worked in industrial businesses.
  4. Number of years qualified.
