A leading construction materials group in Derby is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join their Electrical Maintenance team. You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on equipment, implementing preventative systems, and collaborating with teams. Ideal candidates should have relevant electrical engineering qualifications or experience, and knowledge of maintenance techniques. This full-time position offers a salary between £45,000 and £47,000 annually and includes extensive benefits.

Interaction Technical have partnered with a leading construction materials group based in Derby on their search for a skilled electrical engineer to join their growing team. Our client operates a network of quarries, concrete and asphalt plants throughout the UK and have now reached a stage of growth where they are looking to add to their Electrical Maintenance team.

The Duties:• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance system
• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on quarry and asphalt plant equipment (crushers, screeners, loaders, burners etc)
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently and safely, working with PLC's, relays and VSD's
• Support plant improvement projects and upgrades
• Respond to unplanned plant shutdowns and emergencies
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams, as well as external contractors
• Travel to other sites in the Midlands as required
The Requirements:• Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience within heavy Electrical Engineering (essential)
• Previous experience in a heavy industrial environment (essential)
• Strong knowledge of electrical LV isolation and maintenance techniques (essential)
• Understanding of medium/high voltage networks and switching methods (essential)
• 17th / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (advantageous)
• BS7671 Inspection & Testing knowledge (advantageous)
• PLC and VSD experience (advantageous)
• Full UK driving licence
