A leading manufacturer of specialist construction materials and products is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join their engineering team based in Birmingham. The role is on a rotating shift basis including day and night shifts to support continuous production. You will be electrically certified and qualified to work in a manufacturing environment on electrical content.

The Role
The Maintenance Electrician will support the effective and safe maintenance and upkeep of all electrical content within the plant including production equipment and the buildings/facility itself.
This is a rotating shift-based role focused on ensuring maximum machine uptime and safe electrical maintenance including root cause analysis of machine issues, updates to and overhaul of equipment and collaborating with the mechanical teams to support the machinery onsite.
The Maintenance Electrician will require to safely isolate electrical areas and demonstrate the highest level of safety thinking in their work. You will work in close collaboration with the Engineering Manager and project teams on new equipment installations and both planned and reactive maintenance requirements.
The Person
The successful candidate for the Electrical Maintenance role will be an experienced electrically biased engineer with recognised electrical certifications and a record of delivering excellent maintenance in busy and continuous production environments.
The Maintenance Electrician will be able to fault find to component level and demonstrate good knowledge of motors, drives, inverters, and automated manufacturing processes including PLC driven operations.
The flexibility to work rotating shift patterns including day and night shifts is an essential requirement for the role.
