An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Craftsperson (Plumber) to join their team in Dundee and Angus. This role involves providing essential plumbing services across various sites, ensuring the functionality and safety of plumbing systems. A permanent opportunity has arisen for the post of Maintenance Craftsperson – (Plumber), to work within the Dundee and Angus areas, based at Stracathro Hospital (x1) and Royal Victoria Hospital (x1) with regular travel and work at other sites within Tayside.
Recognized and registered EITB or CITB (or equivalent) craft apprenticeship. Plus an HNC/ ONC/ BTEC Building and Engineering Services (Plumbing) Or City & Guilds 596 Advanced Craft Certificate in both: Sanitary Plumbing And Installation & Maintenance of Domestic Heating Systems & Appliances Or Equivalent Approved Qualification, or in special circumstances equivalent experience, and Experience and Training, which will be appropriate to satisfy the necessary academic standards, required.
The post holder will act as a fully trained and certificated Maintenance Plumber to provide plumbing services to meet the needs of the Estate service provision.
To install, modify, repair and maintain plumbing equipment and systems within all properties of the Organization in order that the equipment can carry out its intended purpose safely, and to ensure the smooth operation of the mechanical systems within the Organisation.
Participation in an out of hours on call rota are required.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
