Overview

NHS Highland Estates Dept. requires a Maintenance Engineering Fitter/Craftsperson based at Lorn and Islands Hospital, Oban.

Requirements

Applicants should have an appropriate and relevant trades qualification with significant experience in a maintenance environment.

Familiarity and use of computerised maintenance systems is desirable and a flexible approach to work is essential as is the willingness to work throughout Argyll & Bute HSCP.

The successful candidate will be required to participate on an on-call rota for Lorn and Islands Hospital, which will normally be 1 week in 4.

A full current driving licence is essential.

Salary and benefits

Starting salary is £30,353 per annum - 37 hrs per week, rising to £33,016. Payments for on-call are approx £216.63 per week on call.

There is also currently long term retention and recruitment premia attached of approx £3900 per annum (although this is subject to regular review).

Annual leave entitlement starts at 27 days, rising to 33 days after 10 years service (+ 8 days public holidays).
