An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Carpenter at Glenfield Hospital to join University Hospitals of Leicester.

Please note the role requires the following qualifications:

  • Recognised Trade Apprenticeship in Carpentry/Joinery or equivalent
  • City & Guilds Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry/Joinery or equivalent experience/qualification

The role of the Estates Maintenance Craftsperson (Carpenter) is to provide a comprehensive healthcare maintenance service to all wards and departments within a multidisciplinary environment, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.

  1. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks to a high standard that matches the skills and experience for the role.
  2. The post holder will report daily to the Estates Supervisor and maintenance managers.
