Maintenance Coordinator

Job Title: Maintenance Coordinator

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 2:45 PM

Pay Rate: $30/hr

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. This role involves scheduling work orders through our maintenance management software, overseeing and performing ISO calibrations and recordkeeping, and conducting set-ups, adjustments, preventative maintenance, and repairs on assigned equipment. The Coordinator will ensure optimal production and quality output of assigned equipment and may also perform building and/or grounds maintenance as needed. Supervising mechanics and/or contractors may be required.

Maintenance CoordinatorDuties and Responsibilities:

  • Use maintenance management software to schedule and perform maintenance work orders.
  • Ensure ISO calibrations are up to date and properly recorded within the MMS.
  • Ensure on-time start-up and optimal performance of machinery.
  • Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and take corrective action.
  • Perform wiring of new equipment, read electrical schematics, and develop schematics for new and existing equipment.
  • Fabricate parts for new and existing equipment and assemble automated systems from individual parts and subassemblies.
  • Test equipment to check operation, clear jams, and set aside product for inspection and/or rework.
  • Examine, test, and measure product from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using gauges and instruments, and record data on appropriate forms.
  • Make preventative maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, ensuring safety and optimum performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of machine failures and production delays.
  • Train equipment operators on the correct use of equipment by reviewing requirements, SOPs, and adjustment techniques.
  • Notify production and engineering of recurring problems, equipment malfunctions, and supplies needed, and take related corrective actions.
  • Order replacement parts to ensure no loss in production time due to equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Interface with Engineering on special projects.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use necessary personal protective equipment, ensuring all work meets regulatory requirements (OSHA).
  • Observe “Lockout/Tagout” procedures while working on equipment.
  • Report to work on time each day as scheduled, ready and prepared to fulfill all assigned job duties.
  • Make recommendations for improving new and existing equipment and/or processes.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of collegiate-level technical or vocational training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four (4) years of previous equipment maintenance and repair experience, with one (1) year of work in an environment with a successful preventative maintenance program and a thorough understanding of manufacturing operation requirements.
  • Proven skills in electrical (panel wiring & layout, AC/DC controls & drives, pneumatics, hydraulic, mechanical, PLC, robotics, HVAC, and machine set-up).
  • Proficiency with shop equipment (lathe, CNC, milling, welding) and hand tools.
  • PC literacy and use of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using maintenance management software.
  • Ability to fabricate components and assemblies from drawings and concepts.
  • High level of mental and visual acuity, with the ability to reach, stretch, stand, lift, bend, and squat. May need to lift over 100 lbs.
  • Safety-oriented, self-motivated team player.

Qualifications:

  • TQM knowledge and ISO familiarity .
