Role Overview:

As a Maintenance Control Engineer, this position involves overseeing routine and preventative maintenance of Building Management Systems (BMS) across multiple client sites. The role ensures operational effectiveness, system reliability, and safety compliance. The engineer will also perform minor remedial works and support out-of-hours service delivery.

Core Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update records of system assets and equipment.
• Track and document system licenses, software, and security measures.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for BMS components.
• Conduct site-specific risk assessments using standard templates.
• Perform routine maintenance on field devices and system outstations.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and remedial requests.
• Investigate and resolve system alarms, especially those via user interfaces or head ends.
• Back up outstation strategies and update shared repositories.
• Ensure supervisory systems are backed up, licensed, and secure.
• Update system documentation to reflect maintenance changes.
• Submit maintenance reports and recommendations.
• Survey sites for potential maintenance and upgrades.
• Participate in on-call support and respond to out-of-hours requests.

• Communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and clients.
• Maintain current safety certifications (e.g., CSCS, ECS).
• Follow company policies and report regularly on workload and issues.
• Maintain high standards in maintenance and record-keeping.
• Create accurate asset lists and archive software backups securely.
• Manage inventory and tools responsibly.
• Deliver detailed client reports with relevant images and data.
• Identify energy-saving and performance-enhancing opportunities.
• Provide detailed remedial work information, including photos and part numbers.
