Job Description: Part-Time Custodian
Pay Rate: $10.25/hour
Plus: FREE YMCA Membership

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will have experience in cleaning and sanitation. Must be able to work in restricted-only areas such as restrooms, locker rooms, and showers during operating hours and complete assigned work with minimal supervision. Additionally, must be able to frequently perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, climbing, etc., daily.

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the supervision of the Property Manager, the Custodian will maintain a safe environment by cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing the designated areas of work.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform floor care and cleaning including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, stairs, and baseboard scrubbing.
2. Perform window, wall, and mirror cleaning.
3. Perform ceiling care including vent and light fixture/bulb replacement.
4. Perform restroom and locker room cleaning and sanitation including showers, toilets, urinals, sinks, counters, and lockers.
5. Suggest improvements.
6. Maintain professional conduct and a neat appearance consistent with the Dress Policy.
7. Perform trash removal from all areas of the building.
8. Maintain the YMCA grounds by pulling weeds, trash removal, snow removal, and ice-melt application.
9. Perform event setup and tear down.
10. Follow the developed cleaning checklist for specific duties.
11. Perform all other functions as assigned, related to the welfare of the Association.
