School Maintenance Caretaker

PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU UNDERSTAND THAT THE ROLES ARE TEMPORARY, AS AND WHEN REQUIRED. As the schools are closing for the summer, these positions will commence in September. We are currently recruiting a number of maintenance professionals to work on an ongoing TEMPORARY basis, supporting site teams in carrying out day-to-day general maintenance and site work across schools in the area.

There will be FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME positions available throughout the school year, with varying durations. There may also be an opportunity to transition to a PERMANENT CONTRACT within the schools, although this is not guaranteed. Applicants must be available to start immediately and be FLEXIBLE WITH WORKING HOURS, as some schools require split shifts, for example: 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

As a full-time temporary school caretaker, you will be expected to:

  • Carry out general maintenance and litter picking
  • Complete odd jobs delegated by the supervisor
  • Open and close the school building
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently
  • Set alarms

Full registration with us is required, including providing right-to-work documents and obtaining an enhanced Child Workforce DBS check, which we will process at a cost of £56.20 (unless you already have a DBS registered on the update service).
